Toe to Heel Transitions

You are assymmetrical in your turns. Your toeside goes to somewhere around 45 degrees to the slope when complete, while your heelside goes to about 90. Whether that's a consequence of fear or it's causing the fear is unknown. I think at least part of the reason you might be having heelside fear is that you use much less edge when going heelside, so it becomes basically a sideslip down the hill for at least the first bit.

So, exercises: (1) when you turn to heelside, make a point of lifting your toes, and squatting more so that you have more 'room' to get that edge, and (2) don't go past 45 degrees when making the turn. That last one will be hard because you've become used to bleeding off most of your speed on the heelside turns. You'll have to learn to do more braking on the toeside so you aren't as dependent on heelside for that.
