so i just bought some new pants, jacket and boots.

1) do i need to use nikwax stuff for the clothes?

2) also for boots, good to waterproof? i have a pair of forum kicker slr. after 6 hrs of riding my foot was generally dry except a few patches on top of my foot. not sure if it was sweat or if water seeping through the lace area.

so what nikwax product should i use for my boots and jacket? i already have the paste wax for my leather gloves. really confused.

here are the products.
aquaeous wax
DX direct spray on
fabric and leathe rproof spray

tks

Your stuff should come waterproofed from the factory. Unless you get wet snow or wash you stuff a lot you should not need to waterproof it before you use it. I have not used anything on my pants (3 years) or jacket (1 year), but I dont wash my stuff. Washing it will remove some of the factory water proofing. This is why dark colors are cool cuz you cant see stains.
