Hey Guys. Has anyone from US ever order off them? Good/Bad? There based out of UK. Looking to purchase something that only they have and don't know much about them. TIA
The problem is that you have to do the payment and then email them to tell them that you have paid the deposit. By the time they have received the email to say you have paid your deposit someone else could have bought it off the webpage. It can easily happen when they have only one item in stock.Probably the common stock control problem where retailers struggle to sync stock levels with their website. Unless you use a dedicated warehouse for the online store there's a chance someone will pick up the last item in store before it's moved out back.
Or they just had their stock levels wrong![]()

I thought you'd be pretty clued in on the Euro scene.👍Yeah Absolute Snow is probably the main UK supplier of snow toys these days. Always quick and efficient and when I've contacted them in the past;; they have real UK based people who actually know about the stuff they're selling. For example the difference between mail & female dakine snowboard bags, which is "the colour" and about ten quid.
There's also Sport Pursuit which focuses entirely on old season stuff and isn't just snow gear. It is random on what stock they have at any particular time. You need to sign up, although they obey GDPR so you can decline all the spam. They are good in my experience also.
There are more specific suppliers for niche stuff like waxing gear or avalanche kit, but for most things, Absolute Snow is the obvious UK supplier. You can sometimes do better from EU based suppliers, mind: eg Blue Tomato (Austria) or Snowleader (France) or Glissshop (France) or Alpine Trek (Germany). You might come across occasional other "too good to be true" sites which are generally fraudulent; just google anything you're not sure about. Pay with a credit card which doesn't charge a premium (most do), in the supplier's offered currency.
;-) Oh yes, I forgot them.... which is weird as I ordered a new lightweight helmet from there two days ago. I've had zero trouble with any of these snowboard suppliers.... I grab a bit of gear as well as tuning supplies from Snowinn. They're pretty cheap for older/last seasons YOM outerwear especially on certain sizes like XS and S, but you have to factor in their additional postage.
Australia, we're basically the Worlds quarry.;-) Oh yes, I forgot them.... which is weird as I ordered a new lightweight helmet from there two days ago. I've had zero trouble with any of these snowboard suppliers.
It's a bit odd how those places come and go over time; Blue Tomato absolutely rocked a decade or two back, but it's gone much more fashion clothing these days. AS is my starting point, then the less glossy EU suppliers. Haven't used BT for years as they're seldom cheapest these days.
(I did get some pinball supplies from Australia during the pandemic, so this sort of trade isn't all one way...)
