YES Greats Uninc or YES Standard?

I've been looking at snowboards and I find that the YES Greats Uninc and YES Standard (non-uninc) fits what I'm looking for, but I'm not so sure which one I should go for between these. Maybe someone could chime in with their experiences on the boards.
I'm also unsure what size I should go for as the board of my choice will be used for pretty much anything apart from a lot of powdering.
My measurements; 6 feet, 200 pounds and size 10 shoes.

The Greats has an asymmetrical sidecut, so ideally you’d mount your bindings centered with a duck-ish stance. The sidecut certainly seems very tight, although it makes for a great heelside carve. You can really feel the difference between toe and heel compared to other asym twins.

The Standard can be setback if you wish, and with the slamback inserts and less volume in the tail vs nose, you can get away with riding it in powder (makes for a better one board quiver). Riding the standard, it has more of an all-mountain feel and I like the larger sidecut better.

Both are fun, playful, poppy resort rides; very buttery with this wide rocker sections in the tip and tail. If park and switch riding is what you want, then the Greats (the Standard can do these well too), otherwise the Standard is a bit more versatile. But if you’re not going to ride switch at all, there are better options other than these two.

Sizing is very personal preference and what you’re trying to ride. If it were me with those specs, Greats 156 minimum, Standard 159 minimum, probably even 162.

I’ve owned the Standard 151 for a year. I’m 5’7” 140lbs 9.5 boot.. perfect size as Yes recommended. Never ridden the greats but the Standard absolutely Rips! Carves like a knife with that midbite, loads of pop, super nimble for its size and I smash tree runs.

I’ve set it back a set of holes for powder days but it rides a little funky on groomers cause you’re behind the midbite points when you do that. Baker had a 12” blower pow day and I didn’t even bother and rode it centered and it floated incredibly, not even sure I’ll ever even use the slam backs cause it’s powder capability is fantastic. Smashes through chopped up snow also.

Very friendly board, never cranky. You can be going 50 and still skid to a smooth stop no problem. Also it’s edge grip on ice is confidence inspiring, the midbite just grips!
There is no park where I ride and I’m not into that stuff so if that’s your game I think the Greats is made more for that. But I do blast side hits and any little bump I can get sendy with and the wide platform of both make these boards super stable for landings and cheek wobbling speed. 🤘🏻 Really fun board that seems into whatever

I’m doing as much as I do.Contact Yes about your size when you make a choice, they are Super helpful and nailed it with my size when I asked.
Hope this Helps.. Good Luck and have fun with your new board. It’s a glorious time in a riders life:) ✨💯

I have a Standard UNINC that I have been riding this year...which is really just a more locked in version of the regular Standard no? At any rate - similar board. I love it. Been in deep powder with no problem (slam back inserts are great). Excellent edge hold in ice. I am not one to launch off things these days but it sticks landing no problem, soft enough to bend at will. So stable. Great great board!
Just picked up the 2023 Standard today and promptly mounted my 2022 Rome DODs.
What bindings are you all riding your Standard with?

2014 Malavitas with updated Malavita hammock straps.. people say these bindings are too soft for the Standard, but it’s torsional flex is very accessible and I Love the forgiving ride the Malavitas give.
Had some Darkos for a couple years and they got real soft. Still ripped, but so soft they pulled me around too much. Git a pair of Maysis this season and they are a perfect stiffness mixed with the medium stiffness of the bindings to make my day every time with this board. Hope you Love it!! 🤙🏼

Thanks for sharing your binding choices on the Standard.

I changed my mind on the DODs and going to start with riding the 2023 Union Ultra (my softest binding) and work my way up to a stiffer binding if necessary.

I own both. If you review the specs they share commonalities. They’re amazing. I’m an intermediate level and own multiple boards including an aeronaut, megadeath, terrain wrecker, dancehaul, dancehaul pro, Amplid singular, Amplid aloha vibes, k2 standard, Ride War Pig, Ride Shadowban and a couple others. The YES BOARDS ARE MY hands down #1 picks. Stable, reliable, confidence inspiring, and just SOLID. That’s my experience.

Wow, I'm looking to get a new board as a one-board quiver, and you named a few of my top choices.

If you had to choose: Yes. Standard / dancehaul / shadowban - which one and why? Or if you could let me know strengths / weaknesses. There's so many great boards out there now that it is overwhelming. I'd love to demo a bunch, but that would get $$ and take a bunch of time too!

thanks for any input you can share🤙

You have to look at the terrain you’ll be riding now and down the road.

Understand to that your boots and bindings play a big part. I’ve ridden 5 sets of bindings Rome Katanas, Union Strata’s, Flite Pros, Ultras, Jones Meteorite surfs including both variations of step ons. I’ve ridden the Rome Boots Bodega and Libertine, Vans Auras and Linerless, Ride Anthems, and the Nitro Darkseids. The stance angle and ability also make big differences. Try duck, try posi /posi. Just know that do different things.

I picked up an Aeronaut and it makes me feel the opposite of the Standard. I, personally, want to feel confidence when riding. I expend twice the energy when feeling anxiety or generally out of control. The Standard even when catching an edge gave me what I want.

You can’t go wrong with any. The intention of how you plan to ride will define the board for you. I tried multiple all mountain boards. The YES Standard or even the Greats provide a feel and confidence above the others. I’ll say the Shadowban is close but the Yes Standard has this X factor. The Dancehaul by design has some limiting factors but still has a fun factor. If you’re just riding groomers, or pow, or trees, or moguls, steeps, ice(ice coast), or park, sidehits, jumps…. There is a board that fits you.

Yeah, I tend to over research things (and why not, I buy a new board/bindings once every 5+ years) - and have read and viewed so many reviews.
I'm certain I could be 100% fine on a Frontier 158W or a Standard 159 (maybe 156). Wish I could demo them both on one day to be certain.

Current setup is a 159 Rossignol One + Now Drive. Plan on getting Select Pro or maybe Drive Pros for the new board. I like how the nows carve and love how they dampen.
Ride mostly groomers, a few park jumps, pow if we get lucky on timing, switch only when I'm going slow waiting for someone to catch up.
Not sure I need a twin with 0 setback like the Standard vs the Frontier.
