Burton Step On and Wide Feet

Hi,

I am thinking about getting the Burton Step Ons - but I've have had some trouble with sizing. It seems like only the Photons has a wide version for the step-ons, but supposedly photons are very aggressive in terms of stiffness (Burton Photon vs Ion). As for my current boots Salamon Dialogue Wide - 2BOA system, theyre a pretty perfect snug in terms of width, but the back heel can be a little loose since my foot is wide in the forefoot but heel is more skinny. I saw a few posts regarding Almighty vs Photons vs Ions and I was curious how big of an issue it would be depending on how I ride? I am pretty intermediate - I want something a bit all around for all mountain but also parks as well (I recently got into parks and I find it's A LOT of fun). Something that can clip my ankle down? Because even with my Dialogue, I can feel my heel raise a bit even though it is pretty tight. Any tighter, I am cutting the circulation off of my feet. Does anyone have experience with the Ions or Ruler to see if I can squeeze my feet into regular size?

I didnt plan on posting images of my feet, but if needed, I can.

I use the Photon wide boots(step on) and they work for me, riding them for two season now. My heel moves slightly but it's no big deal for me because the bindings response is just that good. You can add j-bars on your liners if it really bothers you, either you can buy them from burton or check your ski stores if they sell them.

The Ions are the aggressive boot photons are not so bad. I have the Photon step on (non wide) with wide liners in it. The shells are the same the liner is the difference. If you have liners from current boots that aren't totally packed out you can put them in a Ruler if you like.
