I started out with the toe, but after a few years I realised that heel is usually better, never had a lesson. It doesn't work like in skating because the board is stuck on your foot, and will naturally be at a ~ 24 degree angle for me, right under my other foot. Pushing sideways with the back foot just feels natural after awhile, you can see the board, it's easier to control at speed or if you slide, and there's no counterrotating every step. Plus there's no need for bluetoothcontrolled kookswitches. In the liftline it doesn't matter much of course.

I guess nudging the highback into walkmode gets to be routine pretty fast.

They just feel a bit different. I wouldn't shy away from the Carbon actually. One of my favorite park setups, with heavy jib influence, over the last 10 years was a rocker camber Flow Verve with NX2s on it. I have gone back to the fusion strap on most my stuff as it is just easier to live with than the hybrid one. I would say you get better tactile feedback and potentially more lockdown from the hybrid strap, but I wouldn't really say I notice a significant difference in playfulness between the two. I haven't had the word hit yet, but there is a chance that the NX2 will no longer exist for the '27 season. The molds are essentially "up" as of the '25 production year, so if you're interested in the aluminium frame get em while you can. I will probably know the fate of the NX2 by the end of maybe this month? Definitely before November. Just gotta chat with the super dooper secret industry insiders.

Get the Flows, get em dialed. You won't go back. Only thing making me traditional binding curious now is FASE. Similar level of dimished effort, but no setup nuances like Flow. That said, if my options tomorrow are a set of FASE bindings or a set of Flows, but not both, I'm still going Flow. Easier entry, lower entry effort, AND a performance boost, and for the big footers the least amount of binding footprint out there.

I mean damn, the biggest holdup people have had with Flow over the years is the "not core" convenience benefit. Well with Supermatic, FASE, and yes even Step-On, that stigma is probably not a factor anymore so I am dang near ready to burn some shit at the snowboard gods alters to get Nidecker to put some dollars into Flow marketing and development.
I love the NX2, have 3 pairs of them and my done rides them too. Please let us know if you hear anything about them being discontinued.

I just read that Board of the World dribble. And it is dribble. I could go into details, and this is the only sample I've read from there, but hot damn was that an obvious demonstration of someone that has no business doing gear reviews. Clueless is really the best, and nicest way I can put it.

NX2 are still officially in the line for ‘27. But everyone go buy some this year so they continue to keep them in the line for ‘28

I have a feeling that with the introduction of FASE system bindings it will have a pretty strong effect on Clew binding sales worldwide. Supermatics, maybe as well? Not sure that much on Burton Step On as it is a completely different system altogether but it may have an impact?

Hey @RadDad801 - any chance you could send a pic of the Katana disc?
Does it fit 4x4 slambacks?
I'm not raddad, but the discs that came with katana fase are the same I've seen on any other rome/ bataleon binding as far as I remember. In other words, you run it as 4 x 2 to fine tune the stance width but has room for the full 4 x 4 pattern. So yeah, should fit the slambacks but not be able to fine tune, you'd need a bigger disc for that.

If necessary, I can send photos when I get back home on monday.

That's why I sold my Supermatics at premium price a couple of months ago before the Aus crew became really aware of FASE
