Not gonna lie, this may be what gets me into step-in bindings. The brand support is insane, footprint looks small.

I learned a long time ago, so I skate pushing on the toe side. That might be why I've never been concerned about highback position on my Flows (same issue in Supermatic). That's basically his second concern.

Honestly, I've never understood why they teach using heel side pushing nowadays. That strikes me as more unstable, especially if you're using larger front angles.

They definitely teach it this way now. I see instructors do this all the time at my local hills.

While small pushes work better heel side, you can definitely get a stronger push off the toe side. Some of our flat exit lifts get clogged at the top and I think part of that is snowboarders not being able to clear out quick.

i have always pushed on the toe side. being a OG snowboarder, as i ride with 21-24 on my foot binding. both my boys skate on the heel side and have never mentioned bumping into the FASE HB. the new zealand lift lines can be very congested with uneven ground. i found with having FASE i often took the board off and walked right up to the chair. no one ever noticed me stomping my front boot in just before getting on the chair. only needed one racket and i was ready to skate up to the chair.

I started out with the toe, but after a few years I realised that heel is usually better, never had a lesson. It doesn't work like in skating because the board is stuck on your foot, and will naturally be at a ~ 24 degree angle for me, right under my other foot. Pushing sideways with the back foot just feels natural after awhile, you can see the board, it's easier to control at speed or if you slide, and there's no counterrotating every step. Plus there's no need for bluetoothcontrolled kookswitches. In the liftline it doesn't matter much of course.

I guess nudging the highback into walkmode gets to be routine pretty fast.

I just read that Board of the World dribble. And it is dribble. I could go into details, and this is the only sample I've read from there, but hot damn was that an obvious demonstration of someone that has no business doing gear reviews. Clueless is really the best, and nicest way I can put it.
