I'm also interested in this. The weight differences between the OG and Carbon are negligible (someone posted a chat with Nidecker folks here or reddit, cant remember, too lazy to find it now, but its there). The purpose of the carbon is not primarily to save weight, but to offer a super stiff version of the supermatic

I sent Angelo a message, he says the LT is 30% lighter!
"Hi bud, sure the LT is a lot lighter that’s the main focus on the LT model lighter high back and straps than the OG model it’s about a 1/3 lighter."

 

Id love to see the numbers on that, hard to believe they reduced that much weight from those parts alone, very light parts already, the chassis is where most of the extra weight is being carried

 

If they reduced that weight by 30% I’ll be all over them! That’s significant and more in line with traditional strap bindings or more tolerable.

 

Something tells me the highback and straps might be 30% lighter, but the overall binding is not.

 

The LT is literally on steroids. Ok. Literally.

 

I'm on the market for these, was itching to pull the trigger on the Carbon, but wondering if the intent fore the LT is to actually be the lightest of all, given the Carbon's intent is to be more responsive, and not necessarily lighter?

They're stiffer. And it makes them a bit more expensive, and the LT level is what they are licensing so that they can maintain the $400 price for themselves.
