I ended up ordering the last Forager 160 from Burton a few weeks go, only for them to email me a few days later that the warehouse couldn't find it! Turns out it was for the best as I stumbled on a new-in-the-plastic Forager 160 on Marketplace that I was able to snag for $325. It's a win-win. Can't wait to rip that thing next season!

There is a definite trend right now of short-wides. That being said, it is the optimal setup for pow slayers, especially if you ride in the trees.
I never thought I'd be a multi-board quiver kinda rider, but I think I wanna get one of these for the days when it dumps! Beyond that, I love having a daily driver that's pretty good at everything and focused on my preferred terrain.

Borealis Koi looks rad (for a narrower option):

It absolutely is. Up to size 10 I guess. I’d buy one if I didn’t have 2 similar boards.

That’s a real beauty… I wondered what the effective edge was, but then I converted the price:
I demo'd it whilst over in Japan. It's a really fun powder board in the trees. Didn't test it out on the groomers much - because I didn't need to!

wide sizing know it all's, experts, anybody wanting to provide insight!

since moving from a 13 boot to 14 boot I've questioned my board width ....to determine what waist width I really need
production sizing has me beating around the bush, 160 is the max length I prefer, 157/159 desired
over time I've gone from 26.4 waist (NS, 160cm), to a 26.9 (Kemper, 157) and my volume shifted fatty is a 28.6 (Slushy, 151)

is this my cue that I truly need custom deck sizing?

I was told that for free riding that I need at least 29cm
and for hard carving roughly 31cm

I like the Douk Freighter specs, but I want that 156 in a 308 waist!

poke fun, make recs, whatever  go custom?

The Douk doesn’t look fishy?

But the Kemper Aggressor fits the bill… GP87 as well:

I’ve deviated a bit with the Academy Master:

It has a blunt, rather than moon, tail but it’s setback with micro camber and the EE is 1210 on the 157. Biax glass for torsional flex, with carbon X stringers in the nose and tail like a twin... and there’s no taper. Freestyle meets snow/surf? It’s certainly unique and I can’t wait to see how it rides.
