It really comes down to where you’ll be and how long you’ll be there. Also take a look at the Indy pass

 

I am going with the splitboard and backcountry chairlift, aka snowmobiles for next season. The Epic and Ikon don't really work for my local resort which is Telluride. They are on Epic, but only 7 days. For a Telski pass it's around $1400 for the restricted pass. Basically no holiday weekends and the Christmas to New Year's week. Plus the free days you get at other resorts are Telluride, Telluride, and Telluride. Such a great deal. It is a world class resort, don't get me wrong, but the owner is a cheap SOB wanting high end resort prices.
