I have been riding a Lib Tech BRD for 3 years now and absolutely love the thing. I ski Vermont 10-15 days / year and out west 5 days or so. The BRD will handle all my out west days and any true powder days (4+ inches) out east. I'm looking to complement it with another board for the days with thin cover, the classic Vermont ice, as well as tight east coast glades on non-Powder days. I'd like this new Board to be my everyday resort driver when facing average conditions.
Stylistically:
-I'm not a bomber but do like to send it on a few runs so I've been turned off by a lot of board with chatter when pointing it.
-I do love the side hits and fluff on the side of the runs. I'm not one to do long carve all day.
-I like a tight tree run when weather permits
-I don't hit the park
-I rarely ride switch
What I'm looking for:
-Something with elite edge hold (Lib Tech, Gnu, Yes - or something else)
-Something smaller than my 159 BRD (I'm 5'9" 200lb) so I can move through tree runs more efficiently
-I don't mind older models as I'd hoped to buy used
-Something with some good Camber but not too locked in so that I can relax when riding with less experienced people
-Ideally a board with a mix of pop for side hits but dampness for days when I'm charging.
Does this bring any boards to mind? Any perspective would be very helpful. I've done a ton of research already but find myself going in circles. Thank you!
