Binding Disks?

Today I bought a real nice, used Burton Cruzer and I needed bindings for it. The ones they had at the shop I was in sold 540 bindings and I figured they were compatible but I was very wrong. The bindings use a 2x4 but the board has Burton's 3D . My question is, is there a way to buy discs to fit the Burton mounting pattern and still compatible with the bindings or will I have to just go buy different bindings and return the ones I have?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

That's a hard one... I don't know anything about 540 bindings. Had a look at their website and it really seems like cheap chinese stuff imo.
Their "accessories" section doesn't have extra discs or discs that would be compatible so you're pretty much out of luck.

My suggestion would be to return the bindings and get a pair of Burton bindings, for which you can get a pair of 3d hole pattern discs (either for free or super-cheap). I'm really not sure how many companies out there, nowadays, would have discs compatible with the old 3-hole pattern Burton used to use.

That board's not recent but if it's still good for a while, a decent pair of bindings will help you enjoy it more.

You could also keep the bindings and get a more recent board with 4-hole pattern but honestly, I feel like the old board might better than those bindings.

Good luck!
