I have read a lot of comments recommending Salomon wide boots but no discussion of Salomon's sizing issues.
#1 they recommend measuring with socks on.
#2 they recommend wides for people with over 4 inch/ 107 cm wide feet regardless of length
#3 their size chart is wack
According to Wiredsport guide I'm length 25.1 cm R, 24.6 cm L, width both 9.5cm. I have narrow heels and ankles. But I'm in between a D and an E, closer to E according to the width chart
I have been wearing Burton Rulers 7.5 for about 8 years, after sizing down from 8's, which are responsive but close to painful to ride by the end of the day mostly in my forefoot.
I was in a shop the other day and the boot fitter said I was a 7 wide after measuring me. I tried on Ride Lasso Pro Wide and K2 Maysis Wide in size 7. Surprisingly they fit but the Lasso was banging my big toe pretty good. I would like to compare Salomon Wides but they didn't have any.
Am I a wide? I think so as did boot fitter. Wiredsport is not clear but reading the guide I'm close. Salomon did not think so
